Amarnath

Amarnath is 145 km east of Srinagar in Kashmir. There is an ice Shiva-linga here that changes size with the seasons, and also as the moon waxes and wanes it becomes bigger and smaller. On the full moon day the linga is about 6 ft high. Each year on the full moon day of July-August (Sravana) when the Shiva-linga attains its maximum height there is a festival at this cave temple. It is said that Lord Siva first appeared on this day. The Amarnath Yatra is organised every year by the J &K Govt. during the month of sharavan ( July and August).Surrounded by beautiful valleys, mountains , one will always feel His presence on the paradise of the earth, the memory of which hardly vanishes with time A journey which will rediscover the nature and its love which is always inside but one has never felt.

Guruvayoor

Guruvayur(also written Guruvayoor and sometimes referred to as Guruvayankere) is a bustling pilgrim town and a municipality in Thrissur district of the Indian state of Kerala. It lies 25 km to the northwest of Thrissur city.Guruvayur is most famous for its temple[1], which is many centuries old and one of the most important in Kerala. The temple's deity is Lord Guruvayurappan in the form of Balagopalan (Krishna in the form of a child). While non-Hindus are not permitted to enter the temple, Lord Guruvayurappan has strong believers from many religions.

Vaishno Devi

A pilgrimage to the Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji is considered to be one of the holiest pilgrimages.The Holy Cave of the Mother is situated at an altitude of 5200 ft. The Yatris have to undertake a trek of nearly 12 km from the base camp at Katra. At the culmination of their pilgrimage, the yatries are blessed with the Darshans of the Mother Goddess inside the Sanctum Sanctorum- the Holy Cave. These Darshans are in the shape of three natural rock formations called the Pindies. There are no statues or idols inside the Cave.The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board maintains the shrine.

Shirdi Saibaba Temple

Sai Baba of Shirdi also known as Shirdi Sai Baba was an Indian guru, yogi and fakir who is regarded by his Hindu and Muslim followers as a saint. The Shirdi Saibaba Temple, located at Shirdi, Maharashtra, India attracts millions of devotees of all religions, castes and creed who come to pay homage to Shri Sai Baba. The temple is a beautiful shrine that was built over the Samadhi of Shri Sai Baba.Sai Baba remains a very popular saint and is worshipped by people around the world.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple

The Kashi Vishwanath temple is located in the heart of the cultural capital of India, Varanasi. It stands on the western bank of India's holiest river Ganges. The Kashi Vishwanath temple is the center of faith for millions of Hindus. The Jyotirlinga of Shiva, Vishweshwara or Viswanatha, is enshrined in the Kashi Vishwanath temple, considered as one of the holiest temples of India. In Hindu religion it is believed that a simple glimpse of the Jyotirlinga is a soul-cleansing experience that transforms life and puts it on the path of knowledge and Bhakti (devotion).

Tirupati Balaji

Dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, Tirupati Temple is a must visit for every Hindu Pilgrim. Situated 10 km from the city center of Tirupati, The temple is the richest Hindu temple in entire world and the second most visited pilgrimage destination after Vatican.There are number of small shrines inside the premises apart from the main sanctum sanctorum. The entire temple is constructed in Dravidian style. There are three enclosures which are called 'Prakarams' and a dome on the main shrine called as ''Vimana'. Other main attraction of the temple are the statues of Vijayanagara King Krishnadevaraya and his spouse.

Agni Theertham

One of the must visit places in Rameshwaram is Agnitheertham where pilgrims take bath to wash away their sins. The temple is built facing the eastern direction and there is a large lake in the temple. The lake water is considered holy. There are about 22 wells in Agnitheertham.t is believed that the water has several medicinal properties too and several different life threatening diseases can be cured by taking water from the different wells from this place.

Hemkund Sahib

The high altitude Lokpal lake, known as Hemkund ( 4329 mts.) lies in heavenly environs. A steep trek from Ghangharia leads one to this spot in about four to six hours. It is an important pilgrimage for both Hindus and Sikhs, as well as for people from other faiths. There is a Sikh Gurudwara and a Lakshman temple built on the bank of the lake.Hemkunt Sahib with the setting of a glacial lake surrounded by seven peaks, is a popular pilgrimage site for Sikhs.

Bodhgaya

Bodh Gaya or Bodhgaya is a religious place in Gaya district in the Indian state of Bihar.Bodhgaya is one of the most important and sacred Buddhist pilgrimage center in the world. It is famous for being the place of Gautama Buddha's attainment of nirvana (Enlightenment).For Buddhists, Bodh Gaya is the most important of the main four pilgrimage sites related to the life of Gautama Buddha, the other three being Kushinagar, Lumbini, and Sarnath.The main monastery of Bodhgaya used to be called the Bodhimanda-vihāra (Pali). Now it is called the Mahabodhi Temple.
